Woolverstone Hall is a magnificent Grade I listed mansion set
in 80 acres of parkland on the banks of the River Orwell,
just 5 miles outside Ipswich.

The original house was built in 1776 by William Berners and is one of the finest examples of Palladian architecture
in the country, with original Adam's fireplaces and gold leaf ceilings. It has unparalleled views across sloping lawns
and terraced gardens to the stunning River Orwell and beyond.


Parties & Events
With its grand entrance, wonderful views and atmospheric rooms, Woolverstone Hall is a very special place in which to celebrate any occasion.
From small and intimate to large and lavish we can arrange the details to suit you.

Meetings & Conferences
A wide range of rooms are available for conferences and meetings, catering for up to 300. Woolverstone Hall,
The Billiards Room, The Elliston and Leggett Rooms are all suitable and are easily equipped with free audio-visual equipment, staging and
other presentational materials. In addition a modern Theatre with seating up to 300 is available.

Sporting Facilities
Woolverstone Hall is set in 80 acres of woodland and has a wide range of fine sporting facilities. An indoor Sports Hall, playing fields for hockey, athletics, football, an all-weather pitch, netball and tennis courts, plus a 25 metre 6 lane indoor swimming pool are all available to hire.

Theatre
The Theatre has tiered seating for up to 300 people and is ideal for concerts and plays. There is a Grand Piano on stage, and the theatre is fully equipped with screen, film projection facilities, microphones and spotlights. Interval refreshments can be taken in the adjoining Sports Hall.

Lectures
The Theatre, Elliston Room and Leggett Room (both with OHP, slide projector and video) are suitable venues for illustrated talks
and presentations to audiences from 40 to 300.

Fairs
The Sports Hall is suitable for large events and exhibitions. Woolverstone Hall and its rooms can be used if the numbers attending are
smaller and if more traditional surroundings are required.

Film Sets & Photographic Opportunities
Woolverstone Hall can be used as a location for dramatic productions by both film and television directors as well as location work for
companies specialising in advertising, film, video and still photography. The buildings, gardens and woods offer a variety of beautiful and
historic backgrounds in quiet and spacious surroundings.
