Woolverstone Hall is proud to be one of Suffolk’s most versatile ceremony venues. Say ‘I do’ in one of our licenced civil ceremony spaces, exchange vows in a religious ceremony at St Michael’s, the stunning church on site, or walk the aisle at an outdoor wedding ceremony within our grounds.
the leggett room
With classic panelling, an ornate ceiling rose and beautiful sash windows offering views across the grounds to the River Orwell, The Leggett Room is a stunning setting for a civil ceremony. Steeped in History and the most delightful of all our Drawing Rooms, we are thrilled to host wedding ceremonies in this unique space. Fully licenced for up to 75 guests.
the orangery
The abundance of light and panoramic views are what makes our Orangery a breath-taking setting for a wedding ceremony. The classic lantern roof and walls of windows allow you to feel as though you are among the grounds and gardens as you say ‘I do’!
The curved room is a brilliantly flexible space, we can set your ceremony in the direction of your choice allowing you to decide on the length of your aisle, the views you wish to enjoy and the overall style of your ceremony.
Fully licenced for up to 120 guests.
outdoor wedding ceremonies including marquees and teepees
Our grounds and gardens provide a perfect setting for an outdoor wedding ceremony. You can organise your own marquee or teepee to be set up in the grounds of Woolverstone Hall. If you wish to use our grounds, you are spoiled for choice in locations, whether you marry on the stairs with your guests gathered in the round lawn or in front of the rose borders, with Woolverstone Hall standing proudly in the background it will always be a picture-perfect moment.
Ceremonies outside are non legal, but you can conduct a ceremony with the registrars and simply step inside to make it legally binding.
Limited to 120 guests, as the Orangery becomes your wet-weather alternative location.
Church Weddings at woolverstone
St Michael’s Church is nestled amongst the trees on the Woolverstone Hall estate. With room for up to 200 guests, it is a beautiful option for your church wedding. Following your ceremony you can lead your guests along the path to Woolverstone Hall for the perfect wedding reception.

We are proud to be one of Suffolk’s few venues that can accommodate ceremonies for more than 200 guests. For wedding ceremonies for 200 - 400 guests, our Sports Hall can be transformed into an amazing ceremony location.
We can also host receptions for up to 400 within the Sports Hall, so do get in touch if you are searching for the perfect wedding venue for a large wedding.
